Las Vegas, June 2008

Stayed at the Palms Hotel and Casino again, finally saw a Cirque du Soleil show--Ka at MGM, and of course ate at our Mexican Mecca, Bonito Michoacan, once again. Also rented the shower wheelchair from Universal Mobility as usual.

More info, pictures, details, etc. coming soon ...(i.e. when I get around to it!)

View of the Rio hotel, Caesar's Palace and North end of the strip from our room.

View of the City Center construction and South end of the strip from the room.

View looking down at the Palms' Pool.

Las Vegas, April 2008

Stayed at the Palms Hotel and Casino for the first time. Had a very nice room with a fully accessible bathroom and roll-in shower. Everyone in Vegas knows access really well, except for the Harrahs properties!

We asked one of the bell hops at the door where to go for good casual Mexican food (which you can't get here in Miami) and were introduced to the Bonito Michoacan Mexican Restaurant, which will be henceforth referred to as the "Mexican Mecca" and no visit to Las Vegas will ever be complete without eating there. It's about a mile northeast of the Palms, so about two miles from the Strip. A quick cab ride and worth it at twice the price!

Once again rented my shower wheelchair from Universal Mobility, very reasonable prices, I think $35-$50 per week. They're really prompt and have all kinds of stuff.

Buenos Aires, Argentina, February 2008

Outside the Hilton Buenos Aires in the Puerto Madero area

The Spettus Steak House in Puerto Madero. Wonderful restaurant a few blocks from the Hilton and directly across Av. Alicia Moreu de Justo from the Casa Rosada

Having fun with the Pigeons in the Plaza de Mayo in front of Casa Rosada
